Weddings and renewal of vow ceremonies

Celebrant wedding ceremonies

If you want to say "I do" in a way that feels right for you, then let me help you with a celebrant-led celebration. The ceremony will be as unique as you are. Whether you're talking marriage, a civil partnership or declaring your commitment to each other, with a celebrant wedding celebration ceremony you can choose when, where and how you make your promises to each other.

You can choose everything about your big day. You can write the vows you make to each other, you can give rings or re-dedicate the rings you have already given, you can choose the readings and music you want to include, you can involve your friends and family as you wish. And you can hold your celebration anywhere. The location doesn’t have to be licensed for marriages, it can be indoors or outside, and you can invite as many guests as your venue can accommodate.

How do celebrant weddings work with a legal marriage ceremony?

Celebrant wedding ceremonies are not a legal wedding. They are usually held after you've completed the legal formalities, sometimes on the same day but many couples choose to hold it on a separate day. That means you can complete the legal requirements with the registrar at a licensed venue, and then hold your celebration anywhere you want.

A wedding celebration is a great option for couples who have had a legal marriage in the UK or elsewhere but who would like to involve friends and family in a really personal celebration ceremony at a later stage. Quite often couples who elope for a very intimate wedding or who tie the knot abroad will have a celebration ceremony when they return home, meaning all their friends and family can share their special day.

Commitment ceremonies and renewal of vows

If marriage or a civil partnership isn’t for you, but you want to declare your commitment to your partner, why not have a commitment or promise of love ceremony? And, of  course, let's not forget how special marriages and relationships become over the course of time. Why not celebrate a long and happy marriage, a relationship that has stood the test of time, overcome difficulties, with an anniversary celebration or renewal of vows ceremony? Show your partner how much you still love them, and what they mean to you.

Whether you want a ceremony that looks and feels traditional but with more choice about what to include, would like to involve family and friends as much as you can, or perhaps you want to do something a little more adventurous, I would love to help make your ceremony really special. I have plenty of ideas, some wonderful contacts and rest assured I'll work with the venue staff, musicians or photographers to make sure all the elements of your day work beautifully together.
