Celebrant service fees and how I work
How much does a celebrant service cost?
It’s important to know how much a ceremony will cost, with no hidden surprises. Because every ceremony is unique, it’s best for me to give a guide to costs here and suggest that you call me to discuss your plans. There might be additional costs for travel expenses, overnight accommodation, or to cover rehearsal time if required. My fees start from:
- Naming or welcome ceremony – £300
- Couple’s ceremony (wedding or partnership celebration, commitment ceremony) – £550
- Renewal of vows / anniversary celebration – £400
- Funeral or memorial service, usually 30-40 minute ceremony – from £260 weekday, weekend services are £300, please ask me about longer services, and of course events where you would like me to support you more fully, ie helping to organise a memorial, not just provide the service
- Scattering / interment of ashes, usually a 10-15 minute ceremony – £50 as a follow on after a funeral I conducted, £120 for new work
- Pre-planning a funeral – £360.
My celebrant services are inclusive and accessible
My services are open to everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, faith or belief. If you or your guests have particular needs I will be happy to work with you and any other suppliers involved to ensure everyone is able to be part of your ceremony.
Working professionally
To enable me to create a ceremony for you, I will need you to share contact details and personal information with me. I respect the importance of taking good care of this personal data. I have a Data Usage and Privacy Statement which sets out the kind of information that I will need from you, and how I will use it and safeguard it.
I have adopted the Funeral Celebrant Accord. I support its aim of excellent funeral celebrancy, and the five key principles, which are being professional, caring for my clients, being calm and showing natural leadership, writing personalised ceremonies, caring about my self-development.
I hope that we never have to experience again restrictions such as those imposed during the pandemic, but rest assured I will always comply with government guidelines and do my best to protect you, your family and friends as we plan for and take part in your ceremony.
